Acenocoumarol (2mg)
An oral anticoagulant (blood thinner) tablet used to prevent and treat blood clots in conditions like deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, and atrial fibrillation. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of vitamin K-dependent clotting factors in the liver. Dosing is highly individualized and requires regular blood (INR) monitoring to ensure effectiveness and safety. Take exactly as prescribed, with or without food, but be consistent with your vitamin K intake. The primary side effect is an increased risk of bleeding or bruising.
