description
A tablet used primarily to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and symptoms of an enlarged prostate (BPH). It works by relaxing blood vessels and the muscles in the prostate and bladder neck. The first dose can cause a sudden drop in blood pressure, so it is best taken at bedtime. Avoid driving or performing hazardous tasks for the first 24 hours after taking this medicine or when the dose is increased. Dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting may occur, especially when rising from a lying or sitting position.
