Wash your hands thoroughly and apply a small, pea-sized amount of the gel onto a clean fingertip or cotton swab. Gently massage a thin layer directly onto the affected oral ulcer or sore area up to 3 to 4 times daily, or as directed by your physician. Avoid eating, drinking, or rinsing your mouth for at least 30 to 60 minutes after application to allow the medication to work effectively without being washed away.
