How to Make Vada

Soak urad dal in water for at least 6 hours or overnight.

Drain the water and grind the dal into a smooth paste, adding very little water if necessary.

Transfer the batter to a bowl. Add salt, green chili, curry leaves, and ginger.

Heat oil in a deep frying pan.

Wet your hands and take a small amount of batter, make a ball, and flatten it slightly. Make a hole in the center with your thumb.
