Pan IV Injection is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) formulated for intravenous administration to provide rapid and effective suppression of gastric acid secretion. It is indicated in severe acid-related disorders such as GERD, erosive esophagitis, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and for prevention or management of upper gastrointestinal bleeding. The drug works by irreversibly inhibiting the H+/K+-ATPase enzyme system (proton pump) in gastric parietal cells, blocking the final step of acid production regardless of stimulus. This results in sustained reduction of gastric acidity and supports healing of damaged gastrointestinal mucosa while stabilizing clot formation in bleeding ulcers.
