Selsun 2.5% Topical Suspension is a highly effective medicated formulation used primarily for the treatment of seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp (dandruff) and certain fungal skin infections like Tinea versicolor. As an antifungal and cytostatic agent, it works by reducing Malassezia fungal growth and slowing excessive skin cell turnover, preventing flaking, scaling, and scalp irritation. It adheres well to the scalp/skin for deeper penetration and helps restore a healthy microbiome while preventing recurrence of symptoms.
