Carbamazepine (200mg)
A long-acting anticonvulsant used to control seizures and manage nerve pain. Its extended-release technology provides stable blood levels, reducing peaks that cause side effects.
Manages manic episodes and stabilizes mood in patients with bipolar disorder.
Nausea, Vomiting, Constipation, Sleepiness and Abnormality of voluntary movements
Take the tablet twice daily, usually every 12 hours, with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew it, as this destroys the extended-release mechanism. Some ER tablets have a score line and can be broken in half if swallowing is difficult, but they must still not be crushed. Consistent timing is vital missing doses can trigger a breakthrough seizure.
