Rinse the bhindi and pat dry. Cut into one-inch pieces.
Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Allow them to splutter.
Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a couple of minutes until the raw smell disappears.
Mix in chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and red chili powder. Cook until the tomatoes are soft.
Add the bhindi pieces and salt. Stir well to combine.
Cover and cook on a medium flame for about 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the bhindi is cooked and no longer sticky.
Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot.
