Grate the paneer and potatoes. Mix them with cornflour, garam masala, salt, and a pinch of sugar.
Form this mixture into small balls and deep fry until golden brown. Set aside.
Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and let them splutter. Then add onions and ginger-garlic paste, sauté until golden.
Blend tomatoes, cashew nuts, and green chili into a smooth paste. Add this to the pan.
Cook until the oil separates. Then add turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt.
Add water and cream, and bring the gravy to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Add the koftas, simmer for another 5 minutes.
Garnish with coriander leaves and cream before serving.
