Palak Paneer is a creamy and aromatic dish made from pureed spinach and Indian cottage cheese (paneer), seasoned with spices, often served with flatbreads like naan or roti.
Blanch the spinach in boiling water, then refresh in cold water.
Blend the blanched spinach to a smooth puree.
Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, and let them sizzle.
Add ginger and garlic paste, and sauté until the raw smell disappears.
Mix in finely diced onions and cook until they become golden brown.
Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt, and cook until oil separates.
Pour the spinach puree into the masala and cook for 10 minutes.
Add paneer cubes and simmer for another 5 minutes.
Stir in cream, adjust seasoning, and cook for 2 minutes.
Serve hot garnished with fresh cream and cilantro.
